The real purpose of Education is LEARNING, education is a lifestyle , unfortunately enough , the system has developed a pseudo intellectual environment in the school where the definition of smart is NOT someone with an ability of critical problem solving skill or something like that, it is someone with an ability to blindly follow the instructions of the instructor and rote learn the questions given by them, only to be able to score enough to be statistically above the general mass who didn't do it or may have missed some .
This actually creates a very tough situation for the students in the future, as they may have scored HUGE amount of marks in their class but the lack the actual understanding of the concepts , this problem rises especially in science students who lack understanding and aced the test only with some rote learned questions, or with some tricks applicable to certain situations only .
The main problem is the fact that from the very beginning of the schooling the students are taught facts and figures, all the "WHAT TO LEARN" instead of "HOW TO LEARN" . Then every student tries to learn it in their own way, some students fortunately adopts a more efficient way, and they become the so called brilliant students . Though they have a more efficient way but it is still not efficient enough to learn everything, and that causes the problems in the future .
Always remember , " That you do not understand, you cannot improve " . so if you find yourself in a situation where you suddenly realize that all your Education was superficial and you lack a basic understanding of the concept .
Just pause ....
Learn to think in a scientific way first then, and only then start learning the concepts all over again , you will suddenly realize that it was really simple .. :)
